What is Sentro?
Sentro is an uptime monitoring platform. It watches your websites, APIs, servers, and background jobs around the clock and alerts your team the moment something goes wrong.
How it works
- You tell Sentro what to watch. Add your endpoints, servers, or cron jobs as monitors.
- Sentro checks them on a schedule. As frequently as every 10 seconds, depending on your plan.
- When something fails, Sentro reacts. It creates an incident, sends alerts through the channels you configured (email, Slack, and webhooks), and updates your public status page.
- When it recovers, Sentro closes the loop. The incident is resolved, recovery alerts are sent, and your status page updates automatically.
Core features
Uptime monitors
Monitor any endpoint with four protocol types:
- HTTP -- Check websites and APIs for expected status codes, response content, and SSL certificate expiry.
- TCP -- Verify that a specific port is open and accepting connections.
- PING -- Test network reachability via ICMP.
- DNS -- Validate that DNS records resolve to expected values.
Each monitor tracks latency, uptime percentage, and daily statistics. You can set a degraded threshold so you know when a service is slow before it goes down entirely.
Heartbeat monitoring
For jobs that run on your schedule -- cron jobs, batch processes, queue workers -- heartbeat monitors work in reverse. Instead of Sentro pinging your service, your service pings Sentro. If a ping is missed beyond the grace period, an incident is created and alerts fire.
Incident management
Every outage is tracked as an incident with a full timeline: when it started, who acknowledged it, what updates were posted, and when it resolved. Incidents are created automatically when monitors detect failures and resolved automatically when they recover. You can also add post-mortems with severity levels.
Alerts and notifications
Route alerts to the right people through the right channels. Sentro supports email, Slack, and custom webhooks. Alert rules let you control which conditions trigger notifications, how long an outage must persist before a given channel is told, and how long to wait between repeat alerts. Outages are confirmed across several checks first, so a single request lost in transit never pages anyone.
Status pages
Communicate service health to your users with branded, public-facing status pages. Show real-time uptime, response times, and incident history. Visitors can subscribe to receive email notifications when incidents occur.
Maintenance windows
Schedule maintenance windows to suppress alerts during planned downtime. Maintenance can target specific monitors or your entire organization, and it can be displayed on your status pages to keep users informed.

Team collaboration
Invite your team and control access with four roles: Owner, Admin, Member, and Viewer. Organize people into teams, and use 22 granular permissions to control who can create monitors, manage alerts, handle billing, and more.
SLA reporting
Track uptime against SLA targets. Set a target percentage per monitor (e.g., 99.9%), and Sentro calculates compliance over time. Export reports as CSV for stakeholders. Available on Pro and Max plans.
REST API
Automate everything. The full REST API lets you manage monitors, query incidents, configure alerts, and build custom integrations. API keys with read-only or read-write access, rate limiting per plan, and full SDK support for JavaScript, Python, and cURL.
Self-hosting
Run Sentro on your own infrastructure with Docker Compose or Kubernetes. Same monitoring engine, complete data ownership, zero vendor lock-in. One-time license pricing with Community (free), Team, Max, and Enterprise editions.
